Wastebatteries.co.uk retain the rights & ownership of all containers delivered – each container has a residual value of £500, in the event of any withholding of any container, the return or value will be sought.

All sites applying for delivery of a FREE OF CHARGE waste battery container must hold a current hazardous waste registration number.

All address & contact details & EA waste registration number must be given when filling out a wastebatteries.co.uk order form (see Order NOW page)

Containers must be filled in the neatest way possible – by stacking batteries properly. Throwing batteries into the container at all angles results in fewer batteries stored and half-empty bins. This could result in reduced payment or in severe cases, no payment.

Companies / sites wishing to order a container must be able to fill these at least 4 times per year (4 full returns equates to a total of approx 220 units per year). Fewer returns may result in reduced or no payment.

ONLY lead types of batteries should be stored in our containers. Any other batteries (Ni-Cad or similar) or other objects are prohibited and will result in no payment whatsoever. If in doubt as to which batteries can be stored & returned please go to our section headed Batteries for Collection in the information panel on the home page.

Any subsequent payment is paid monthly in arrears for FULL collections made. For example, any collections made in the month of September will be weighed and paid accordingly in October.

All documentation will be provided for waste collected, in line with EA legislation.

Only waste collected by our contractors will be paid for. Do not hand over your waste to any other company or third party unless payment is no longer required. Contact us to access the company names of our chosen waste contractors who are fully registered as waste producers & transporters.

The value given for waste collections is relative to that period of time and is reflective of the value in fluctuation of lead cost on the LME. We will however, always offer a free of charge collection service to all of our customers at all times.
